Cold Calling - Contacting prospective customers and team members who have not requested information about your company or opportunity. Usually the contact is made by phone.

Commission - The amount of money earned on the sales of products or services. Usually it's set at a percentage of the retail price of the item, but may also be a set at a specific dollar amount for each sale. In some cases the sales commission is the difference between the consultant's purchase price (wholesale price) of an item and the price received from the customer.

Compensation Plan - The commission structure that determines how much and how salespeople are paid for their sales and their downline's sales.

Consultant
- An independent sales person who markets products for a direct sales company and sponsors other consultants. Often called an independent consultant. Other interchangeable terms for a consultant include distributor, representative, and associate.

Content Marketing - The marketing technique of delivering consistent and useful information in order to attract and retain customers. Content Marketing builds trust and brand loyalty more effectively than traditional, sales oriented marketing.
